Through his efforts in the labor movement, United Farmworkers Union founder César Chavez became a significant civil-rights leader.

The Indiana State Museum invites poets to celebrate César Chavez Day from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, March 28, by presenting poems dealing with the themes of overcoming injustice and working for social justice.
