Are you a Freeloader??

I became a Freeloader maybe 6 months ago. If your not familiar with the program its part of z99.5, and it is a program that is designed to rewards their listeners.

Every morning I eagerly await the word of the day, and then play the trivia games daily. I've amassed quite a few points, which I've used to bid on items, and recently used to get two tickets to the gun and knife show this weekend.

So... how many fellow freeloaderz are on indy.com?? What is your favorite way to earn points?? Any cool loot you've scored that you would like to share??

This program is one of the many reasons why they have the best morning show in Indy (in my humble opinion).

I will contest that it is a cool program. I dont listen to the radio station, but you can still win, you only miss out on a few points if you dont listen, but the point is, you can get cool free stuff, enter to win cool prizes and even buy stuff with your points. The best way to earn points is to do the trivia. You can get like 5,000 points a day easy.

Listening to z99.5 in the morning allows me to hear the traffic, and try to avoid taking the interstate if there is a wreck. Saves some frustration in traffic.

I'm a Freeloader, but a slightly disappointed one. Joined in Sept when i moved to town. Totally was racking up the points on the first version of the program slowly but surely and earned two free movie passes to I Am Legend. That was pretty cool. Hard to pick up prizes as their office is only open while i work. How could they not put paper ticket vouchers in an envelope and mail em?!

New program is good but it's all gambling. thought I'd give it a shot on one item that was a low enough price per bid and a decent item I didn't think would be as crazy popular. Lost 240,000 bidding- didn't win with 424 entries for one item :-( So I'm pretty sure between the word of the day being worth less than the spiralfrog trivia, they're not promoting listening, they're promoting visiting their website and seeing sponsors :-(

I think I'll spend less time earning ALL the points and stop in to get some of the points...

Love the show! Smiley's insane, Paul is fantastic and the other personalities are something else! Nothing better!

And here I was feeling sorry for myself after not winning with 260 entries. 424 entries and you still didn't win?! I am feeling less hopeful that anyone actually gets these prizes.

I agree with the ticket vouchers as well. I took up my entire lunch hour driving to their office to pick up tickets last week, and the tickets weren't even in yet! Frustrating!

I have been a freeloader for 4 years and I am also getting dissapointed in the program. I used to win a prize once a month, usually just movie passes but occasionaly a dvd or cd or concert tickets. Now I haven't been to the radio station in over a year. I would like to pick up a movie pass once in a while but at the same time I don't want my account locked for 30 days. With my luck I'll buy some movie ticket and then some nice prize will pop up the next day. Personally I think the movie passes shouldn't count towards the 30 day lockdown.

There are too many nation wide raffles, where are all the local prizes that we use to see on freeloaderz?

I have wasted too much time gathering all these points (well over a million now) and getting nothing but a slow web site with lots of ads.

Please post when you win something, anything...to give the rest of us some bit of hope.

Thanks!

I think I'm signed up, but I don't listen to the radio much any more. My wife used to get a lot of free movie tickets from there, I think.
