The Indiana State Museum will be host to the exhibit:"Radical Lace & Subversive Knitting," organized and circulated by the Museum of Arts and Design, New York!
It will be there beginning April 25 and stay up until Aug. 24. It's a great complement to their other textile show, Quilting Blocks and Binding Threads, which draws on the museums own Pottinger Collection of Indiana Amish Quilts and runs through June 15.
I am highly anticipating this exhibit. This will be the first time this show has traveled outside of New York.
"What's the crochet hook?" You might be asking.
Admission to Radical Lace & Subversive Knitting is free for members or included with general museum admission: $7 for adults, $6.50 for seniors and $4 for children ages 3 - 12. For more information, visit indianamuseum.org or call 317.232.1637.
