Variety is reporting that "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" will be split into two films to be released six months apart.
The first part will bow in November 2010, and the second part the following May.
David Yates, who directed the most recent Potter flick, "Order of the Phoenix" is slated to helm the next film, "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" as well as both installments of the final book. When all is said and done, screenwriter Steve Kloves will call 7 of the 8 films his own, writing each installment except for "Phoenix."
