Wow, every road I drive down is filled with them! When it's raining or dark its usually too late to swerve by the time you see them. I've already had to replace tires and get my wheels realigned a few times this year. It's just ridiculous. FIX THEM!!
I know what you mean. There's a stretch of Meridian, northbound, in the right lane. where the potholes are so big it's almost impossible to drive down. What happened to the days where they just brought out a truck and threw tar in every pothole...now they want to re-pave every road with a crack in it and close it down for weeks.
I wonder if it'd be against the law if people just started filling the potholes... it's not very hard to put a couple bags of "just pour in the hole" asphalt... hell, even a couple bags of sand or gravel would work.
you just can't expect that as soon as the roads thaw that the city get a crew out to fix 250,000 potholes... it's just something you have to deal with when you live in anywhere that doesn't constantly have above freezing temperatures.
I see plenty of roads that have only gotten the holes filled and not repaved... just last year they finally repaved south Mitthoeffer after 15 years of filling in the same potholes. Of course, they didn't fix the problem... there's no drainage pipe to remove water from the roadway... so it'll keep freezing and thawing and creating potholes... but at least they put the quick fix repave on it finally.
I thought this thread title said, "Indy Could Use A Few More POTHEADS."

Oh, we ALREADY have enough of them. Seriously, Post Road on the east side looks like the surface of the moon. There's A LOT of crater-sized chuckholes all over that damn road.
I'm fairly good at avoiding them...But it's only a matter of time until I break an axle.

If things keep going the way they've been going, it's only a matter of time before a chuckhole swallows an Indygo bus whole.
I called the mayor's office and told them to cut the arts or something but fix those potholes!
IUPUI campus is the worst! Neither the school or city wants to take care of it!
IUPUI campus roads are probably private property and thus the responsibility of the campus to repair. They weren't bad when I went to school there, but then I graduated almost a decade ago.

That's what I thought too. Apparently, parts of campus roads are still public (ones that cut through, ie Michigan and New York). Plus, the school wants state help because of Wishard and Clarian.
