I always enjoy it when someone shows you something that you haven't seen before. I was talking with this guy and he thought my name, Ms. Rebelle, was a play on the word miserable. Which never even crosed my mind! I can see where he got it, but now I don't want it. So I've been thinking of just going by Rebelle. Is it too late for me in the game to change? (even though I feel like I haven't even really started) And if so, how do I go about letting everyone else know?
The things we never really think about when we decide to put our artistic self out there.
I thought it was more along the lines of being rebellious. I like your name. Keep it.
Hey Rebelle,
I'm a poet.. You might of heard of me, they call me Hope.Less
At one time, I thought of changing my name because people thought it was hopeless. I for one am not hopeless, I just think people need to hope less and work harder to achieve the changes they want in their lives and in their communities. To me, it stands for revolution and the fact that change won't happen unless you force it upon the masses who are complacent and uninspired.
As for your name or the name by which you're known, I would say go with what you feel. It sounds horrible to say this, but it's true.. You can't give people too much credit when it comes to the interpretation of your name because most people just aren't that creative. Those of us who know you are conscious that you're not miserable, though I find it funny and ironic.. Maybe you should move to Missouri. (Mis-ery)...
Hope.Less
I thought it meant rebel, too!
