Does anyone have any tips on where I can purchase a box of "thai tea" like they serve at Jasmine Thai restaurant? At least, that is what the server called it when I asked them about it when I was there once. They suggested an Asian grocery but I looked at Asia Mart in Castleton and had no luck. I appreciate any leads!

That's been a long standing question of mine as well. I've often wanted to sneak into a kitchen and check out what they use. I'm betting it's just some normal variant of tea with condensed milk for sweetener / creamer.

It's very similar to Vietnamese coffee, mmmm...

Saraga is probably your best choice in terms of a store. You can get Thai iced tea ready-made in glass bottles there.

But you can also whip it up by brewing Thai red tea, adding extra flavors (tamarind, cinnamon & anise are common) if the tea doesn't already have them, and sweetening the tea up with sugar. Then, pour the tea on top of ice, so that the glass is 2/3 to 3/4 full and then pour some sweetened condensed milk (often diluted with cream) on top.
