So, my husband and I had plans to travel Friday night. From Indiana, to Eaton, OH for a gig, and the on to St. Clairsville for an ultimate destination of PA (philly area).

And I watched the weather. And I thought, oh, it's not going to be that bad. There's been multiple times where the news said "4-6 inches" and we've gotten nothing. So I thought, oh, if anything, there will be a light dusting.

I don't know who to believe anymore.

Let's just say, it took about 5 hours to drive across Ohio. Hoe-lee crap. You couldn't even see the lines, let alone the highway. There were so many cars that were in ditches, semis jack knifed, on even managed to turn a 180 and face the opposite direction. Then we got nearer St. Clairsville and it started not only to snow but to thunder and lightening. We've driven in bad weather, but I think this was the worst. Whew.

Anyone else get to drive in this wonderful weather? Spring needs to hurry up.

I get to drive in the stuff all the time but luckily I got to miss this one. I knew it was bad when I saw on the ticker that the Edinburg Outlet Mall was closed. Barely got a dusting here. I don't think it's over, I think we'll get hit a few more times before winter is over. It's the trend this season.

I was SUPPOSED to fly out of Columbus, OH this morning.. planning on driving over Saturday night but most of 70 was level 3 meaning closed to all except emergency vehicles. So $300 later I now fly out tomorrow morning. Wish me luck!

Do you know what time/part of 70 they closed? We used it the whole way across Ohio until about 3 am...

Preble county the first county in Ohio on 70 was a level 3 for most of the night. As were a few others. My sisters boyfriend called the Ohio State Police and kept checking to see which were open and which ones were closed. We decided to play it safe and not risk it, as we were traveling with my 2 year old!

Glad to hear you made it across safely!

Well I hope you all made it home safely. Snow and ice are nothing to mess with. I headed down to Seymour last night and passed up Edinburg Mall. Didn't look like a lot of snow but I'm sure quite a bit melted today, it was pretty warm.
