So I am a up and coming poet and I have been puttin on and hosting this event called VOCAB. It's a once a month spot at the Casba and it has become my pride and joy (other than my minions of course). Well tomorrow I am having my one year anniversary! All of my favorite artists will be there, all of my friends and I hope some newbies because I may be a bit biased but I know that this is one of Indy's hidden treasure nights! I just can't wait for people to be able to see what Indianapolis has to offer. Maybe, just maybe for one night I can show people that it's okay to step out of the routine and do something that they had no idea they would enjoy. I think one of my favorite things about it too, is the fact that someone will get inspired to get on the open mic. I have come to find out that there are so many people here that write and they never thought that they would ever perform in front of people. Yet something grabs them and gives them that push to grace the crowd with their words. I am always impressed with every show and every night is different and I can't wait to celebrate the 1st year and get started on the next!!!
