Nicky Blaines did turn off all the tunes about a month ago with no warning. Word is Simon wanted to try somethin new. Not sure what that might be though.

Hopefully the new plan isn't to play more house/trance/techno. I used to love the eclectic mix of stuff they played, and REALLY loved when they had live music...but last time I was there they were playing Crystal Method - "She's My Pusher" and Prodigy - "Smack My B**ch Up". It definitely did not fit the atmosphere of Nicky Blaine's.
Totally agree SS. While Vito's has some rearranging of the bandstand to do, they have a floor designed for dancing. Just what this group needed. Meanwhile, Nicky's is off my radar for a time. Lookin forward to Thursday nights again!
Had not heard about Nicky Blaine's....are they losing live music all together?
Its cool though... I have only been in that joint a few times anyway
