Another great band lined-up to play for the month of May at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway is Chevelle.
They announced yesterday on thier radio interview with X103 right before they played a sold out show at the Egpytian room.
They join STP who will be playing May 23 at CARB DAY!
Awesome, they were great at May Day.
Chevelle IS pretty good.
Did you know Chevelle started out in the Christian marketplace? just thought I'd throw that out there

They were just signed to a Christian label. They aren't and never were a Christian Rock band.

I don't even know what a "Christian rock band" is considering rock music is rock music and nothing else within the genre seems to be labeled due to its lyrical content. Anyhow, why, if they were a so-called "secular" or mainstream band from the very beginning, would they have first signed to a Christian label? I can't think of any band choosing such a course. It could be career suicide.

I'm just saying that's what happened. Maybe they were the only ones that would sign them? It ended up alright for them.
It did, at least in terms of fame and money. I personally think there are other things that matter more, but I realize that is not what our culture would ever promote.
did you know that Chevelle started off as a total "Tool" rip-off band? go back and listen to their early work. lead singer definitely had posters of Maynard James Keenan all over his room.
but let me get this straight, Stone Temple Pilots is playing a free show in Indianapolis? THAT'S AWESOME!
