LUXURIOUS!

Since i'm brand new here and just getting up to speed i'm feel as going from 0 to 1000 karma points overnight wouldn't be right so i'm not going to do it. I do see how it's possible though and I think it's a real shame if people do that. I'm going back and reading some old posts and some of you guys have been on here all month writing stuff to gain the points and others, well, you know what you've done. I would like to say good luck to those who qualified for the prizes. I will be gearing up for next month where I shall be victorious in the quest for the grand prize - 1973 CAMARO, fully loaded, compliments of Tom Wood Chevrolet and INDY.com!

By the way, if you're a brother/sister team or husband/wife team and are both over 1000 points you have too much time on your hands! Yeah I'm looking at you!

Preach it Brotha! If only there were a way to only reward karma points for actual beneficial posts and take points from worthless ones. If indy.com would like to hire a Karma Police Officer, I volunteer! However, it would be nice if you tweaked the system slightly. My biggest concern is that I haven't heard or seen a single advertisement to get people in indy excited about this contest. How many people wouldn't kill to win a prize like the ones being offered!? If there were just a few radio ad and newspaper spots, I think we might be able to make this a more impressive community!

STEP IT UP!

maybe indy.com could get Radiohead to be the Karma Police.

We actually have been promoting it quite a bit (but I'm sure we could always do more.) Lots of in print ads and online ads on various sites. I think we may ramp it up a bit for March.

Keep in mind though, the single biggest point gain for Karma is for getting other people on the site. My hope was that that that would help create "a more impressive community", although the one we have now is not too shabby. :)

All said, I'm w/you 100% That's the whole point of Karma. How many other sites will cough up sweet schwag just for interacting on the site?

A side question totally ignoring the whole karma issue: Tom Wood Chevrolet? I was unaware there was such a dealership (and a quick Google search revealed nothing as well). I used to work at Tom Wood Pontiac, and the loyalist in me wants clarification as far as which dealership it actually is (as would the advertising folks as well, I'm sure).

I detect some whining on this post...

I saw a car just like that BUT in better shape in the parking lot of Greenwood Park Mall yesterday. Ok, maybe it wasn't JUST like it since it was in better shape but, it appears that the Camaro is making a comeback. People with mullets and attractive 1st cousins must be extremely happy!
