Heather Forest's solo storytelling performance "Travel Scenes" interweaves memoir, history, Jewish folktales, current events and original song. The tale is based on Heather's diary from her July 2006 travels through Israel in a time of war. The travel log documents a storyteller's expedition to sites in Israel that embody ancient, founding, and modern tales. Travel Scenes is an intimate exploration of a personal journey. It expresses a deep connection to Jewish cultural roots and raises poignant questions about the politics of violence.
