So the Indiana state congress has decided to make Weber their hangout and dining spot, sometimes as many as 3 times a day. And they suck. They look down on the service staff, host staff, cooking staff, and I don't know for sure, but I am betting, the management staff as well.
One particular congresswoman is completely batty. Her storming through the doors makes the host-desk cringe. Often she demands immediate seating. On one early visit the dialog was something like this...
Congress Woman: I'm meeting some people who are already here. (as she blows past the hostess)
Hostess: I don't currently have people waiting.
Congress Woman: (as she puts her hand up in the hostess face as if to say 'shut it') No, I know they are here.
(Moments later)
Congress Woman: (after a futile search through the dining rooms) Ok, I need a table for ten.
Hostess: As I said, I don't have anyone waiting
And this is only one seating debacle brought on by the senators. Most recently she rolls in with her posse and they simply seat themselves in a section near the back, usually this is only a minor problem. The issue came when their party spread out over 6 tables in numerous server sections at separate tables. Other issues are that they sit...and sit...and sit for hours, well past close, demanding more drinks after the bar is closed, or food after the kitchen is closed, it's simply absurd. Demanding to break the rules they vote to uphold.
So, the Indiana congress folks suck, and it doesn't stop at the state level, lately Senator Barak OBama has apparently had staffers in and around the region several times over the past several months. They do many of the same things, the seating issues, demanding priority seating, seating themselves, it's disgusting how high and mighty these political folks think they are. The worst abomination, the OBama people...tip like CRAP. When I waited on them? $18 on nearly $200, simply stunning. Nine percent? You must be joking...is the OBama campaign machine hurting so bad they can't afford a reasonable tip? (And for anyone who is wondering...It was phenominal service, I am a tip-top server, extremely attentive and caring about my tables.)
Anyway...thats my rant, I dislike the political guests...period.
drop some names buddy, we can pay them back
I didn't know Obama is Irish. You should send a letter to each of the reps offices or write a letter to the Star if you feel that strongly.
I didn't know Obama is Irish. You should send a letter to each of the ...
Thanks for the note on the Obama spelling, I didn't think of that. And as for writing a letter, I just was venting...as much as it sucks, my manager wouldn't care much if i drove off the business
Interesting, I deal with congress men/women, legislators, speakers, senators and lobbyist on a regular basis at my work. Having old school punk blood running through my veins I was already pre-dispositioned to detesting this sort of individual. Pity on the fool that's me. They have been more than a pleasure to deal with. Always gracious, friendly and extremely courteous to my staff, my chef and myself. Its unfortunate that you have had bad experiences with them. Oddly enough, I prefer the republicans! Don't tell anyone!
I can assure you that the Obama campaign machine is not financially struggling. He spends, what was it 3x the amount that Hillary does.
