The City of Greenwood and Safe House Productions, Inc., a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Indiana Corporation, present their first annual season of Shakespeare in the Park!
All shows will begin at 7pm and will be presented outdoors and FREE to the public in The City of Greenwood's Surina Square Park Amphitheater. The shows will be presented "in period" from the original language, but shortened in length to be made accessible to Shakespeare enthusiasts and theater rookies alike. This project has already been well publicized in local media outlets, including The Indianapolis Star and The Daily Journal and we expect it to draw over 3,000 people throughout the central Indiana area.

Auditions are now being scheduled for professional repertory company members on March 11 6pm - 8pm at the Greenwood Community Center, by appointment only. At this time, pending contract negotiations with Actors Equity Association, only non-union actors will be seen. All members of the professional company will be paid a stipend and will work under contract with Safe House Productions, Inc. Professional backstage and production staff positions are still available.
A limited number of unpaid STUDENT INTERN positions are available both onstage and backstage. Students chosen will learn Shakesperean basics and professional theatre etiquette working alongside professional actors, designers, technicians, and production staff. Student auditions are scheduled by appointment only for March 4 6pm - 8pm and March 6 7pm - 9pm. Students under 18 years old need parental permission to audition and participate.
Auditioners will be asked to read from the script. No monologue is necessary.
