Verdict: In today's technologically savvy world, DJ's and computer geeks can put a beat behind just about anything and make it danceable. However, Hot Chip is well aware of the fact that there's a difference. People will dance if there's a beat but they'll want to dance if the song lures them out of their seats. The appropriately titled single "Ready for the Floor" does just that. Synthesizers pulsate as singer Alexis Taylor (perhaps the nerdiest looking man in music) soulfully sings "I am ready for the floor," and you can't help but agree.
