After a three day bout with a pretty nasty virus, I've come to the conclusion that the flu sucks. As a 5'9, 150lbs guy, I can ill afford to lose any weight, but lose weight I did. Started Monday off with a 100 degree temp, but my dumb arse still went to work. Woke up early Tuesday morning completly wet from sweating. I had to towel off. Gross! Late Tuesday night I decided that it probably wasn't a good idea to stray too far from the bathroom. Now it's Wednsday, I'm at a svelte 142 lbs and feeling oh so much better. From now on it's nothing but vitamins and juice for me! If anyone has any helpful tips to ward off this evil flu, please feel free to share them with the group! Here's hoping everyone doesn't end up feeling like I did this week!
I had that nasty stomach virus that's ALSO making the rounds. I was out of work for two days last week. I think everything I've eaten since the 3rd grade either came up OR out during those two days. I don't know what got more action between those days, my toilet OR my DVD player.
LMAO! tru dat my brotha, i watched a ton of flix!

I attempted to watch some daytime TV but, I could feel my attention span and intelligence shrinking.
The last time I had the flu, I lost about 15 pounds. Luckily, I'm a 6'1" 235 pound guy, so I can afford to lose some weight. Heck, it actually makes for a pretty good diet, although an extremely painful one.
I had nothing but Gatorade for 3-4 days until I could keep down some chicken soup. I hate getting sick. I didn't bother going to the doctor though...there's not much they can do for a cold or flu virus. These things run their course in a week or two on their own.

All I drank on those 2 days was 7Up and any clear-colored Gatorade that I could get my hands on. The colored stuff is supposedly the worst when you have stomach problems. I had to go to the doctor to get a note for work since I was out for those 2 days. All he did was tell me things that I ALREADY knew. It cost me $50 in the process. Sucks!
