A lot of citizens around the state treat immigration like it's a brand new issue, but it's centuries old and has played a significant role in the history of nations throughout the world.
Anyone looking for a broader perspective on this issue, along with the chance to ask questions and participate in a free community discussion, is invited to attend the Indiana Historical Society's Indiana Town Hall Series. The first event is tonight (discussing the "past"), followed by March 20 ("present") and April 17 ("future").
There will be a moderator and panelists, but the public is encouraged to interact with this program. For more info on the panelists and the program in general, visit www.indianahistory.org.
