After the great post from aLLEN, on T.V. theme songs that have come and gone, it got me thinking about some of the more ridiculous/tender/asinine/hilarious moments on those same T.V. shows. Whether it be Sam on "Cheers" finally tapping Diane, or Sam finally tapping Rebecca, or Sam tapping...Man I guess I didn't realize how much wool Sam really pulled....But I digress...
Among the absurdly shocking and ridiculous all at once, we had Arnold and Dudley nearly getting molested while eating ice-cream and watching porn with the guy that owned the bicycle shop on "Diff'rent Strokes". In this same vein, there was Arnold and Dudley again, getting pinned down in the bank robbery while Arnold was trying to get some cash out to hopefully get some trim on his upcoming date with "Tootie".
Who can forget the fire at Mrs. Garretts brothel...er..Bakery on "The Facts of Life"?
Fonzie jumping a shark on waterskis wearing a 1970's NBA shorts style bathing suit and a leather jacket?
Jessie Spano's heroin-esque addiction to caffeine pills on "Saved By The Bell"...
Tom Hanks getting all liquored up on Vanilla extract on "Family Ties" as the alcoholic uncle...
The final helicoptor view of the dismantled 4077th at the end of MAS*H...
Sorry, I could go on forever...So I'll save some for y'all...
Whatcha got for me?

For me... the hardest pill to swallow was when Rudy's goldfish died on the Cosby Show... or how Vanessa always wanted a dog... she never got that dog either... after 27 seasons of the Cosby Show, the poor girl couldn't get a dog? It didn't even have to be a LARGE dog... It could have been a medium sized dog... or maybe one of those tiny dogs that she could have taken to the mall with her fast-talking friend... Cliff, Claire... why couldn't you just get the girl a dog?? WHY?
Most memorable TV moment would (for all the wrong reasons) have to be 9/11.
But as for non-news TV (aside from Justin Timberlake making the utterly rash and impulsive and totally NOT premeditated grope at Janet Jackson's outfit and tearing the ta-ta cover right off of its velcro fastener) would have to be in "Dallas," with Bobby Ewing in the shower the morning after his honey had the longest, most detailed (and most blatantly POV-violating) dream in the history of mankind.
Funny that I was just thinking of probably the most forgotten great moment was at the end of the show "Newhart," when Bob Newhart wakes up with his wife from "The Bob Newhart Show," which was a bit of a spoof of the Dallas moment. Great underrated TV moment.
Mork giving birth to Jonathon Winters?
Arnold getting his arse handed to him by "The Gooch".?
How about "Dooon't Stop(cut to black)"?
Good call! Kind of analagous with Sam leaving the bar, turning around, giving it the once over, and turning off the light as he locked up on the final episode of "Cheers"

'70s sitcoms pushed a lot of boundaries. On the show "Maude" (an "All in the Family" spinoff), Maude getting an abortion seemed pretty significant as did Billy Crystal's openly gay character on "Soap."
Sanford and Son.... when Aunt Ester brings a plant she thought was for salad.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA....And then Rollo offers to help and get rid of it! LOL!
