There are so many great art shows and happenings taking place in Indy lately that it's almost unnecessary to leave town to find something fun to do. On February 29th though, local artist John Clark (pLopLop) and ex-local, current Louisville resident Jason Pierce (mperfect) will be showcasing their latest works and collaborations at the Art Hospital in Bloomington. Always prolific and with never-ending creativity, Clark often recycles canvases and adds his own spin, always making the canvas look better than it did before, and always making it his own. Pierce is best known for his collages. In the past they have been blown up and put on canvas, but rumor has it he's working with smaller mediums this time around. The Impossible Shapes will be complementing the evening with their lovely sounds. The event begins at 8pm on February 29th, and is taking place at the Art Hospital, which is located at 1021 S. Walnut in Bloomington. I will be hanging out with Amy in the trailer before and after the event. See you there!
Jason Pierce's visual candy rocks the walls of my house.

This is going to be amazing. I have a large piece of work from each of these guys on my bedroom walls. They make waking up that much easier.
