Given the events of the past week, where there were abandoned commitments and lack of communication from one campaign, and a reported infraction of rules over use of taxpayer resources from another, it is worth noting that this is exactly the sort of bitter, partisan politics that is preventing real progress on serious issues that face our country.

It is not just the politicians themselves, but the party bickering and "us vs. them" tactics that ultimately turns this into a game of "politicians vs. the American People." We need more action on issues, not childish nonsense.
