It's the CG-animated "Star Wars: The Clone Wars," presumably different than the series of animated shorts that ran on Cartoon Network in advance of the relase of "Revenge of the Sith" in '05.
The film (and the resultant TV series to follow) will take place between Episodes II and III, and will get a theatrical release in advance of an animated series which will run on Cartoon Network and TNT in the fall.
Again George Lucas shows why the Star Trek universe is far superior to his own, namely in keeping general continuity and logic straight, as in this episode Anakin is given a padawan (a Jedi apprentice for the uninitiated). This seems a curious move by the Jedi council considering they have doubted him from the beginning of the prequel series and by the third film out and out distrusted him.
The strangest thing to me, though, is that the film will not be created under the banner of 20th Century Fox, but instead will be produced by Warner Bros., which is borderline heresy.
Anyway, USA Today gave the first look yesterday, and a link with an accompanying story can be found here
Between Episodes II & III? Ugh was hoping for III & IV, but oh well I am sure I will watch as will every other SW fan.
