This is Eric Gordon playing on his high school team.

Tonight Eric Gordon, graduate of North Central High School, will be playing at Illinois University tonight. It is expected that he and Coach Sampson will be heavily booed during the game. The reason for this is because he changed on his commitment to attend Illinois in order to go play for Indiana University. Do you think this treatment is fair.. deserved.. or totally wrong?

i'm not from Indiana so I don't know the particulars of his high school days but the kid RULES! he's going pro after this season and will easily be top 5 selected. as for tonight's game, he absolutely deserves to get his arse booed every time he touches the ball. he committed to attend Illinois and then reneged on that. kind of classless but no one seems to care considering how good he is. well guess what... the people of Champaign, IL remember and care and all of their supporters so this kid is going to get an ear and eyeful all night long. we'll see what he's made of. i predict a mediocre game from Gordon though it would be sweet if he dropped 30.

PS - i cannot stand IU and anything to do with the school but Gordon is the real deal.

At least he really did have Illinois and IU recruiting rather than the california kid who faked California and Oregon! ha.

It's not wrong at all. Its college basketball. Even if there was no connection the Illini fans would still boo them. I just hope no one does anything stupid.

Anyway IU is going to rip them a new a------.

Eric Gordon is the real deal. He is an exceptional basketball player. I have seen him in person a few times and each time he continues to amaze me with his ability to play the game.

Gordon is a beast out there. He makes the game look to easy. BUT, over the past three or four games I have watched, he has been played really hard and physical and has let his frustration out on the floor. Even against Northwestern he got frustrated. He needs to let his game come to him. He's force it like CRAZY! He doesn't take physical defense well, but then again, what player does? Hopefully he doesn't get tired down the stretch due to the Big 10 schedule and style of play.

Wanna talk about a player, what about DJ White this year?

The combination of EJ and DJ is lethal when both are playing well. I know how EJ can play because i played with him on his high school team.. and he is AMAZING!!!

Wow! What a game. Sucks it was that close to a crappy Illini team but still we won in a very hostile environment. That Frazier kid is an ass with what he did to Gordon before the game.

That was a pretty ridiculous act. The bad thing about it was that he had that planned for a long time....you could just tell. His face proved that. But Illinois saw from previous games that this is how you get to him, but just like last night, eventually he is good enough to get around the obstacles that teams throw at him. He'll continue to adjust faster to these environments, but since he's probably only one and done, he doesn't really have to worry about it.

That dude who had a chance to win the game at the end of regulation and two chances at the end of the first overtime will not be having a good weekend! HA!

My only question was why the officials hadnt done more to prevent something like this from happening. They should have had a greater control of the game.

How long will Eric Gordon have to carry this team with DJ white. Its unfair to the two of them that they are expected to put up such high numbers. Its unrealistic for the two of them to have great games every night. Someone else for IU will have to step up very soon.
