Recycle unused building materials to help schools

I saw in Friday's Star that building projects from Carmel to Greenwood are being delayed due to an uncertain economy. With so many schools needing refurbishing, not to mention a growing amount of unsuitable housing for low-income families, combined with a growing need for skilled graduates...it seems to me that some of these developments could join forces for the greater good and help out the schools with the supplies "sitting unused".
