I really wish party crashers would photograph from a passive/voyeuristic angle. Nothing says "boring" like posed pictures.

All the pics do tend to look alike after awhile...bar after bar, girl after girl...etc. ad nauseum.

eh

yes! give me atmosphere, some clue about what took place there (besides people posing) -- give me a reason to GO there (besides having my picture taken, of course)… that would be so nice…

What???

And deny your fellow Hoosiers their 5-10 seconds of inebriated fame and glory?

The sad reality is that all the bars and most of the clubs pretty much look the same inside. Over there is the bar. Over there, there, there, there and there are the T.V.'s The pool table(s) are there. The dart boards are over there. The Golden Tee and/or video bowling is over there. The jukebox is over there. The stage is there. The dance floor is there. On the walls are alcohol promotional materials. In the corner is that no-so-cute couple making out...

Not to mention if they use a flash in any of those places to capture the "ambiance" - the board of health would probably shut them down.

There are two reasons why they call the lights they turn on at the end of the night "The Ugly Lights..."

(The first reason is that you can clearly see just who you were flirting with so you have the chance to make at least one good decision for the night. The second is so you can see what you were sitting in and what you just walked through.)
