Even though we may not want to admit to it, we all love kids movies. Yesterday, my roommate and I watched Robots and cracked up. I love kid movies for the pure entertainment and innocence they bring. I also love hidden dirty jokes that go over most of the audience's heads.

I love all of the disney movies of my childhood (little mermaid, beauty and the beast, cinderella), as well as Toy Story, Monsters Inc, etc. My most embarrasing movie that I LOVE is the Lizzy McGuire movie...

They just make you feel good! What are some of you favorites kid movies?

Anything Pixar makes me smile. Monster Inc, Finding Nemo, The Incredibles I can watch over and over again.

Mean Girls (while not appropriate for real kids) and Freaky Friday (lame, but entertaining).

I LOVED Mulan too. Was just thinking the other day that I need to get that.

I'm not sure ALL of these qualify as kids movies, but they are ones that I loved watching as a kid, and that stuck with me the most.

Alice in Wonderland and Fantasia, for their sheer inventiveness and the surrealistic atmosphere. Oh...the dancing elephants scene in Dumbo was amazing too. Also, Never Ending Story, Pee Wee's Big Adventure, Beetlejuice, and those old claymation Christmas movies (Rudolph and Frosty).

A few I could probably watch again and again are Toy Story, The Little Mermaid (like the songs), and Monsters Inc (Especially all the cool sound effects when you listen to it with surround sound.

Saturday the 14th!!! I have totally forgotten about that movie and I loved it as a kid!

Do you remember that monster movie, I think its little monsters or something similar. In it, monsters come out from under your bed and play pranks at night (the children then get blamed the next day). I loved that movie when I was younger, it also made me pretty scared to sleep near our convertable couch.

My 2 year old is obsessed with Shrek, Thank God he doesn't understand it. I really like the newish Curious George movie. The voices include Will Ferrell and Drew Barrymore. It also features great jack johnson songs!

My kids are 4 & 2 so they love pretty much every kids movie ever. I enjoy the Shrek movies, Madagascar and The Incredibles (what ever happened to the sequel?)

Lots of the movies mentioned above are great, but I can't believe no one mentioned my favorite, Hook! Dustin Hoffman and Robin Williams were perfect in that movie.

My kids were enchanted by this movie. And now my grandkids are loving it. "You fell victim to one of the classic blunders! The first is never get involved in a land war in Asia. The second, only slightly less well-known, is this: Never go up against a Sicilian when death is on the line! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ..."

"From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler."

This was one of my favorite novels as a kid. I mean, what kid doesn't wonder what it'd be like to run away and live in a museum? I loved the way the main character, an 11-year-old girl, plans and manages the whole adventure; very competant and real.

Ingrid Bergman played Mrs. Frankweiler in the '73 version; Lauren Bacall played her in the made-for-TV movie that my kids have seen. Bacall is so cool (now I have to rent a Bogey and Bacall movie).

Among the more recent movies, "Surf's Up" was very good and didn't get much love.

Although why there were penguins surfing with one chicken didn't make much sense. Why not have a variety of animal surfers and just have a penguin as the main character?

And Matt, I love that you list "The Beastmaster" as a kids movie. :) That is one of my favorites, and I did watch it as a kid.

Something I revisited in my "Alvin and the Chipmunks" live-action rebellion was "The Chipmunk Adventure," the animated Alvin (Brittany) and the Chipmunks (and the Chipettes) movie.
