Buying furniture from IKEA is equivalent to ordering a meal at a restaurant and having the waiter dump the ingredients on your table along with a three page recipe.
You get what you pay for; what did you expect from a $100 chest of drawers??
That being said, the award for Best Performance by a $5 Chef's Knife goes to the IKEA 365+ cutlery collection. Outstanding!
Totally agree... but I have to hand it to them. I love that place. I worship Ikea... I mean you usually have to take Xanax to prepare to fight the crowd just to enter, but it really has so many great ideas you can never find anywhere else! Plus I kind of like putting things together by using instructions that have no words... only illustrations! Or at least that is what I keep telling myself.
LOL - great analogy, Ron. However - I must admit I have a weakness for Ikea. It is destination shopping (after Sephora) whenever I travel for business or pleasure. Any chance we'll get one in Indy - I mean they have TWO in Illinois.
New one opening in Ohio Soon. I would love if we could get one in Indianpolis. You KNOW it would do great!
hilarious! the idea behind IKEA is so great but once you get there you're like, "this is some crap!" do you really want the stuff in your homes/apartments/shacks to be just like everyone else? have some originality people. now excuse, i have to go back to building my dresser and installing my IKEA knobs and handles.
