We now have all kinds of gambling that has become legal in the scramble for the tax dollar. Couldn't Indiana allow carry out sales of beer and wine from grocery stores on Sunday.. say, after Noon? I can buy a lottery ticket on Sunday.

The reasoning of the alcohol law is for religious. Just think, there are even those who still think that all stores in Indiana should be closed on Sundays and people should concentrate the Sunday only two areas: worshiping God and spend time at home with family.

It is a silly law, but not a shock or anything.

Gotta concur with Randy. I don't necessarily GET why drinking beer enhances the Super Bowl watching experience, but I'm not one to pass moral judgment. However, I have no qualms about passing judgment on people who plan Super Bowl parties days/weeks/months, have full knowledge that there is a 'no alcohol sales on Sunday' law, and STILL don't have the foresight to buy their booze ahead of time.

Of course I planned ahead. However,if a passer by goes through they know not.
