I had dinner for the first time ever last night at St. Elmo's. My cousin was in from LA, and he had this craving for their shrimp cocktail, so we jaunted on over for dinner. I took an itsy bitsy bite of the shrimp cocktail, and if you like horseradish than thats the dish for you! I kept laughing at everyone around me eating it, because when they took too big of a bite they would start sweating, and the sauce would clear out their sinuses. Quite an entertaining scene to watch.

I had the NY Strip cooked medium rare, with a baked potato. It was the best steak that I have eaten in my life! So juicy, and the meat had a buttery texture to where it just seemed to melt in my mouth. The meal is on the expensive side, but I wasn't the one paying, and even if I was I think that steak would have been worth every penny.

Two thumbs up to St. Elmos NY Strip!!

P.S.

On a side note, I was in a scene shot in St. Elmos for an Indy promo video. I was this guy's date, and we were down in the wine room. The wine room is really cool, and if I could that would be where I would choose to eat because it's incredibly cozy down there.

I've was treated there some time ago. I don't like a lot of thick beef so I ordered the fried shrimp. I was really elated when they brought out six of the biggest shrimp I have ever seen. It was like eating six little lobsters. They were fried just right, too. MMMMMM....shshshrrriiiimmmmppp. {Please forgive me; I had a Homer Simpson moment...}
