Hey guys!
he and his guitar player, Luther Perkins, are seriously one of the biggest reasons I play music - and playing music makes me happier than anything else on the planet! - please come out and celebrate the music of The Man In Black with us for the fourth year in a row. The show is Saturday, March 1st and it's going to be at Radio Radio.
We're being joined by one of my absolute favorites - The King of Dieselbilly himself, Mr. Bill Kirchen and The Hammer Of the H---- Tonk Gods! You know that crazy cool guitar that runs all the way through "Hot Rod Lincoln"? That's Bill! He's seriously one of the coolest guys ever, one of the best guitar players you'll ever see in your life and he's a huuuuuge Cash fan himself. I literally couldn't think of a better fit for this show and I'm so happy Bill's makin' the trip up from Austin to do it!
He's been nominated for Grammy's, he's mentioned in guitar magazines as often as the word "Telecaster", he plays and records with people like Emmylou Harris, Nick Lowe and Elvis Cosetello...he's just one cool fella blush
I'm so excited about this one that it's downright embarrassing - our CASH BASH has sold out every single year and this year, because of Bill being on the bill, tickets will probably go faster than ever. He doesn't do many shows around this area at all and I've been getting questions about this one from people in cities up to 500 miles away...it's going to be closer to catch him in Indianapolis than in Austin so I promise these tickets are going to go fast.
We're doing advance tickets (for $10.00!!!) here :

Thanks so much and I can't wait for March 1st to hurry up and get here...I literally look forward to this show like a dang kid at Christmas - come out, celebrate the birth of and the music of The Man In Black and give your middle finger to the mainstream!
With love, your best friend in life, Mandy Marie!

Indianapolis, IN - The ever-popular Cash Bash, hosted by Mandy Marie and The Cool Hand Lukes, returns to Fountain Square's Radio Radio for a fourth installment on March 1. Raise a glass to the late Johnny Cash, born on Feb. 26, and to the telecaster talents of Mandy Marie and her Cool Hand Lukes, as well as the much-celebrated local trio, Bigger Than Elvis, and special guest Bill Kirchen and The Hammer of The H---- Tonk Gods from Austin, Texas.
A Grammy-nominated guitarist, singer, and songwriter, Bill Kirchen, who has played with greats like Emmylou Harris, Nick Lowe, Elvis Costello, Commander Cody and Danny Gatton, boasts a career that's spanned more than 30 years. Called "A Titan of the Telecaster" and "The King Of Dieselbilly" by Guitar Player Magazine, Kirchen creates his own country, with hints of h---- tonk, swing, blues, and bluegrass for good measure.
Local hillbilly favorites, Mandy Marie and The Cool Hand Lukes features Luke on guitar and lead vocals, Morrison Foster on the upright bass, Rick Weaver on guitar and Lewis Scott Jones on drums. Look for The Cool Hand Lukes to be playing several Johnny Cash classics, including "Get Rhythm," "One Piece At A Time" and "Cocaine Blues," plus a slew of the band's originals inspired by the man himself."
Bigger Than Elvis, featuring well-known local talents Danny Thompson (also of The Messarounds and formerly of Sloppy Seconds), David "Tufty" Clough (of Toxic Reasons and Zero Boys fame) and Mark Cutsinger (of the Zero Boys), also will perform.
