Local Rocktastic Band: Prizzy Prizzy Please

I was at Local's Only last night to catch a Thursday night show, not really knowing what to expect from these out-of-town bands. Lo-and-behold, I got an earful of tasteful musical delights.

Unfortunately I arrived a little late, and didn't get to hear the opening act, local band, Eisenhower Field Day (although I've heard some recordings of their's which I've liked).

The second band (who's name escapes me at the moment... so someone please help me out here) were quite awesome. They were a ska-ish act, sounding a bit like Sublime. Although lacking in complete originality, they really put a great show. Two singers, hitting all their notes and providing a great stage presence. The band was very tight which makes syncopated music so much better sounding! This Lafayette band is a must see... (hopefully someone will help me with the name).

The last band, Prizzy Prizzy Please was astounding. A punk/funk band including bass, drums, sax/vocals and keyboards - and no, I didn't forget to mention guitar because there was none and it certainly wasn't needed. They had a very powerful, energetic and truly unique sound. Tons of energy, speed, soul and creativity. This was a total Five Star band that I encourage people to check out. They're from Bloomington and they're playing on 2/18 at the all ages venue, The Underground.
