Volunteers needed for the 4th Annual Fishers Renaissance Faire
Seeking volunteer actors, entertainers, chorus singers, production staff, stage and set builders, painters, artists, general workers, etc.
The auditions will be held on Feb. 2 and 3 and Feb. 16 and 17 from 1:30pm to 5pm at the Fishers Library, located at 5 Municipal Dr., Fishers, IN 46038 (in the Thomas Weaver Memorial Complex on Municipal Drive just north of 116th St.)
All potential volunteers should download a volunteer form from the website ( www.fishersrenfaire.com ) fill it out and bring it with them to the meeting.
Volunteer entertainers and chorus singers should be prepared to do a short audition or demonstration of their act.
Volunteer actors should be prepared to do a short reading (material will be provided).
Actors: We are casting for parts ranging from peasants to nobility in all age groups. After your reading you will be cast to an acting guild (villagers, nobility, fairies, etc). Final character assignments will be made at the first guild workshop in March.
No previous renaissance faire experience is needed for any position, just enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. Monthly workshops during the year will teach all volunteers everything they need to know.
Note: Students required to perform community service for school can fulfill their requirements by volunteering at the faire.
