OK, so Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts aren't Super Bowl contenders this year. But at least there's a Manning in the running.
Will Eli pull off one of the biggest sports upsets by clobbering his big brother's nemesis, the New England Patriots?
Here are just a few of the bars and restaurants in which to enjoy the theatrics of the game.
Ale Emporium

With four 100-inch and 24 other high-definition screens throughout the bar, there really isn't a bad seat in the house. Arrive early for a chair, though, because sports fans flock here for games.
Food: Small three-topping pizza, small order of wings and a pitcher of Coors Light or Coke for $20; full menu.
Drinks: Bloody Marys, Screwdrivers, Greyhounds and most draft beers will be on special; full bar.

Alvin's Bar and Grill

This easygoing neighborhood bar seating 50 is a great place to kick back if you're not looking for a rowdy, raucous crowd.
Food: Free lasagna bar, including salad; full menu.
Drinks: $2.50 domestic long necks, $4.50 Bomb Shots; full bar.

Big Dog Saloon

With six TVs, including two high-definition big screens, you won't have a problem seeing the game at the Big Dog, which seats 200 people. With free grub, its' a tough deal to pass up.

Drinks: Full bar.

Blue Crew Sports Grill

Members of the Blue Crew fan club flock here for three huge high-def screens and nine additional TVs. Lucky for us, they welcome newcomers, too. On Super Bowl Sunday, Coors Light representatives will be in the house with giveaways.
Food: Specials will be available; full menu.
Drinks: Buckets of domestic beer are five for $13, $4 Skyy flavored vodkas; full bar.

BadaBoomz

With 22 flat-screen TVs, there will be plenty of places for your eyes to wander during the big game. Come for the game, and stay for the food.

Casler's Kitchen and Bar

Casler's is always packed, thanks to the food and the atmosphere. Specializing in pub grub, as well as more upscale fare, this place is a winner with families. And with more than 25 TVs, it's perfect for game-watching.

Drinks: $10 buckets of Coors Light, $2.50 bottles of Coors Light, $4 Bloody Marys; full bar.

Champions Sports Bar

There's no shortage of screens at this Downtown spot near the RCA Dome. If you want to go upscale, traipse through the Marriott hotel lobby to the Circle City Bar and Grill. Complimentary valet parking is available.

Champps Americana

Visiting Champps is like walking into a relative's house -- everybody seems to know everybody else. If you want to get in for the game-time action, you'd be wise to make a reservation.

Chatham Tap Restaurant

Expect a house party atmosphere for the big showdown. From the free food to the TVs (including two 42-inch and three 32-inch HD televisions), it will feel just like you're at home with the family and friends.

While the Fishers location offers family dining and welcomes an all-ages audience, the rest are strictly 21-and-older. Reservations are being accepted. At the Pike Plaza location, DJ Jesse James will spin tunes during halftime and after the game. All locations will be giving away Bud Bowl tailgate packages.

Eight TVs and two big screens (two of which are high-definition) fill out Crown's media mix. A regular hangout for Colts fans -- especially season-ticket holders during away games -- this is a perfect spot to cheer on the other Manning brother.

Downtown Olly's

A large flat screen in the bar and two more in the dining room will beam the game, while wall-mounted TVs will provide additional moving pictures.

Primarily known for its food, the spacious dining room at English Ivy's is also a good spot for Super Bowl viewing, with three TVs, including one big screen.

NASCAR normally rules here, but this neighborhood bar will have its two 52-inch screens and additional smaller screens tuned to the game.

Front Page Sports Bar & Grill

Festivities start at noon at this Mass Ave. watering hole, where prizes will be given away. And there are more than enough TVs here, with four plasmas and one large projection.

Moon Dog Tavern

The expansive bar area features six 120-inch projection TVs, six 50-inch plasma TVs and three 60-inch TVs -- all in high definition. Voted best Northeastside bar for two consecutive years in INtake (now Indy.com the Magazine) bar wars, it's a destination that deserves consideration.
