Basic Story: Already two releases deep with a smaller independent label, Times New Viking looks to conquer larger audiences with their Matador debut.

Verdict: On one hand, you could say that these guys know nothing about recording music, despite knowing how to write catchy riffs. On the other, you could say these guys know exactly how to record good music poorly, and do so purposely. I'm with the latter idea, seeing as how their two previous records also sound as if they're being played out of a busted boom box. Listening to all 16 tracks, of which only one makes it past three minutes, is sure to give you a headache but, somehow, each listen warrants another.
