I'm working on the next Star Studio exhibition here at IMA...it is called Squares-Folds-Life: Contemporary Origami by Robert J. Lang. The show features incredibly complex paper sculptures by Dr. Robert J. Lang, a physicist and engineer turned origami artist. We'll be giving visitors the opportunity to see Dr. Lang folding five monumental blue herons, each folded from a single 6' square sheet of paper, from 11 a.m.- noon and 1:30 -4:30 on Feb. 15, 16, and 17. The complete show opens to the public on Feb. 19 and runs until July 21.
Here's a short video trailer for the exhibition. It's very cool. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=97ZqqFW7TOE
