I'm a huge Cat Power fan. I love everything she's ever, so wheneven she has new material scheduled I always wait (not so patiently, mind you, scouring the promos at work) with anticipation. I've dubbed 'Moon Pix' one of my top five records or all time, and I could listen to 'Metal Heart' on repeat and never get sick of it. This Tuesday she released her 2nd cd of cover songs, entitled 'Jukebox'. Blues Explosion man and total bad ass Judah Bauer plays guitar, while Dirty Three dude (who was also a huge force behind 'Moon Pix') plays drums, and some guy who looks like one of the Rolling Stones hangs around too. Some highlites are a remake of 'Metal Heart', an original song written for Bob Dylan 'Song for Bobby', and my favorite on the record, the Highwaymen's 'Silver Stallion'. I's definitely worth checking out. Any other Cat Power fans out there?
