Snoop Dogg Vinyl Microphone

Although, the dog loves it and the women in my life find it adorable, my feelings on the Snoop Dogg Toy microphone are mixed.

My dog Lilly (AKA Menace, Legal name: Lili Von Shtupp) is into toys, really into toys. This is a new one on me, being my other older dog, PB (AKA PB, legal name: Punk Bastard) requires nothing but food, water and a heater vent. Lilly's attraction to toys is unusual in the fact that the toy must not be touched and simply admired. In my prior ignorance of the apparent "dog toy rule", I use to just grab a toy from her mouth and throw it across the room, in a vain attempt to play fetch. Lilly would simply look at me like, "What the hell did you do that for?" None the less, the toys are to be admired by all until their ultimate demise. She will pick up a toy and strut back and fourth, usually if front of PB (who could care less), while you shower with adulations like" that is a very nice (fill in toy of the week)".

I arrive home the other day and encounter my Lilly with her latest toy, the" Snoop Dogg" Doggie Microphone. I did the usual mandatory adulations, "that is a very nice microphone you have there Lilly", when it dawned on me what I was saying. Here is the dog that ate my laptop bag and TV remote control; I am now encouraging to eat a microphone. Being a member of the local music community, I questioned my wife Jo… #1 is it the best idea to give her a toy microphone considering the amount of bands that stay at the house? AND #2 Where the hell did she get a microphone? Apparently my friend Meg bought it for her and the two women claim that she looks like she is singing when she whines while chewing on it.

Personally, I vote no on the Snoop Dogg Doggie Microphone, but the women vote yes. They think it looks cool and it is funny. Aside from the concern for mislaid real microphones, I think it may give Lilly false hope, much like giving a Britney Spears Microphone to a 10 year old girl, not that those are flying off the shelf these days considering, but you get the gist. I tell you this, she is no Budgie (lead singer for Caninus http://www.myspace.com/caninus ) but don't listen to me ladies. What the hell do I know? I have only seen like thousands of bands live and feel I am a reasonable judge of talent. This dog does not make the grade, but now I am the one craping on her dreams and aspirations. It's a stupid dog toy and means nothing, and if I wake up one day and find my microphones chewed up I am holding both the 2 ladies and Snoop Dogg fully accountable.

I hate it (no stars) the women and dog love it (five stars) = 3 stars.

Hah! This was an enjoyable read. There are probably lots on IndyPaws.com, but I didn't expect that we'd be getting dog toy reviews on Indy.com.

You should probably gather any real microphones in the house and put them somewhere very safe.

Taffy pointed out the latest Snoop Dogg video to me. Anyone checked this out? Probably the best he's had in years, but I can't say I've been keeping up.
