My family and I went to Loon Lake Lodge for a celebration of my mother's 80 something and my sister's 60th birthday's. My husband is a chef and we have been part of the foodie nation in Indianapolis area for 2o years. We really appreciate the industry from the inside out. We were appalled. My Chicken Oscar was worse than horrendous reminiscent of Pete's Pride frozen breaded meat of an unknown origin. The Hollandaise was fake and canned and broken. All this and more for only $17.95. You get the drift. We knew the original owner's and the newbie's have kept their signature dishes and deteriorated the quality to substandard at best.
This place is just a bad grown up place that tries to be Disney World almost and it just doesn't work. None of it. I am very surprised that they haven't closed. The food is not ggod and very $$$$ for what you are having.
Yeah, my family went for a graduation/mother's day dinner and it was horrible! It seemed as if the server knew she was getting auto-grat on our large party and therefore did NOTHING. The food was nothing special and expensive.
We were excited about the animatronics and they did pretty much nothing... that's probably the biggest dissapointment. ;)
not sure what's expensive, it's the north side! try the ribs, they rock!
But the airplane is cool.
Yeah, I ate there once about five years ago. It was ok, but nothing to write home about.
