Columbus» At least four Indiana companies announced layoffs, this week:

» Components Group, which makes metal stampings and assemblies, said it will close its plant in Columbus by month’s end and lay off 215 workers.

» NAL Worldwide, a logistics and distribution company, is shedding about 70 jobs in Fort Wayne as work at a unit shifts to Illinois.

» Michigan-based Meridian Automotive Systems is reducing work at a plastics-manufacturing plant in Shelbyville, cutting a total of 198 positions in phases.

» Orthopedics manufacturer Zimmer Holdings plans to lay off more than 100 employees in Warsaw as part of what it calls a “modest” worldwide restructuring.
