4 area theaters offering free tickets to programs

Want to watch a local theater production . . . for free?

Four area theaters are giving away 275 tickets to shows through the Theatre Communications Group’s Free Night of Theater program.

The promotion starts at 11 a.m. today and continues until the supply is depleted. Participants must visit www.freenightoftheater.net to reserve tickets.

Tickets are available for the following shows at the dates and times listed:

** “The Heavens Are Hung in Black,” 7:30 p.m. Oct. 8, Indiana Repertory Theatre, 140 W. Washington St.

** “Scary Stories on the Canal: Disquieting, Disturbing Dreadful Tales,” 7:30 p.m. Oct. 10, Eugene and Marilyn Glick Indiana History Center, 450 W. Ohio St. The show is presented by Storytelling Arts of Indiana.

** “The Unexpected Guest, by Agatha Christie,” 2 p.m. Oct. 11, Shelby County Players, 16 S. Tompkins St., Shelbyville.

** “The Elephant Man,” 8 p.m. Oct. 30, Indianapolis Civic Theatre, 3200 Cold Spring Road.
