Krusen, Shinn, Smith, Thorn - combining Blind Melon, Pearl Jam and the voice of Buckley

when Shannon Hoon died, prematurely, the guys went their separate ways but the 2 leaders of the group, bassist Brad Smith (primary songwriter) and lead guitarist Christopher Thorn stayed in touch and began working together. together they found a young man by the name of Chris Shinn, who was fronting another band at the time, and brought him into their studio in Seattle. everything just clicked. along with original Pearl Jam drummer, Dave Krusen, an amazing band was formed... Unified Theory. sadly, that band came and went after only one formal release due to a terribly misguided label and eventual in-fighting. as you now know Blind Melon has reformed but the angelic voiced frontman continued to make music with a variety of musicians and numerous bands. today he leads a new group called Everything Is Energy. his voice is a perfect melding of Jeff Buckley and Shannon Hoon and if you don't like them then you don't like music. take a listen:
