You know 'em and love 'em: the scuzziest of the scuzzy, the douche in your favorite movies. Sometimes they're cannon fodder for the villain, others they're just there to gum up the works and make the hero's job that much harder.
So here's the cream of the rotten crop, those guys whose presence made our favorite movies so much more fun because they're so fun to hate.
10) Shooter McGavin (Christopher McDonald), Happy Gilmore-The long-time runnerup for the, um "gold jacket" that all pro golfers aspire toward, he was the wet blanket stopping Happy (Adam Sandler) from earning enough money to buy his tax-evading Grandma's house back. He even used his considerable wealth to buy her house our from under Happy, only to lose it in a bet to Happy in the tour championship. Of course, if he'd just floated Happy a loan, it would have been a short movie.
9) Brian Fantana (Paul Rudd), Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy-Mysogynistic and sexist, Brian has a name for all three main components of his "junk," wears a foul-smelling cologne aptly named "Sex Panther," and even manages to taunt a panda bear. He also helps his buddy Ron Burgundy learn a little about love and fairness, and he rocks one mean 'stache, so he can't be all bad.
8) Carter Burke (Paul Reiser), Aliens-What a welcome for Ripley (Sigourney Weaver), after fending off the meanest monster ever put on screen, she's welcomed home years later by disbelief and accusations, and the one guy seemingly on her side turns around and tries to feed not only a group of Marines, but her AND a little girl to a gang of the monsters in hope of capturing one to study. In the end he gets what's coming to him, though.
7) Steff (James Spader), Pretty in Pink-One of the trio of guys vying for the hand of fair Andie (Molly Ringwald), though admittedly if I knew guys named Blaine and Ducky, it would be hard to resist the urge to pick on them, especially if they looked like Andrew McCarthy and Jon Cryer.
6) Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka), The Karate Kid-He finds the easiest target in school (the new kid), and throws a fit when the new guy takes out his ex. Not to mention he abuses the spirit of his teachings. At least when Danielsan metes out justice old school style he has the stones to admit who the better man is (and gets punked out by his sensei afterwards).
