Alright, fess up! Everyone has at least one band that they like but are ashamed to admit it. Who's yours?

I'll kick it off with some Nordic heavy metal: http://machinaesupremacy.com/

Still have one left over from college: Brassy.

At least it's uber-catchy.

Lately I have been listening to... Hannah Montana! Yikes I know. I like the dance beats.

I was on the fence about my confession but after you stood up tall and threw out Hannah Montana I decided to go for it ...

Polyphonic Spree

There's nothing shameful about liking Salt N' Pepa! They are important figures for women in rap and r&b and they also encouraged safe sex, independence and education.

The musicians that come to mind that I'm somewhat ashamed of liking are Liz Phair (since her new albums suck), Michael Jackson (well, you know) and No Doubt.

No Doubt is my doubleplus supersecret shame--I've even been to one of their concerts--so I'm glad someone else will take that bullet with me. :-)

They were my FIRST concert. It was sixth grade with a friend and his family. I ended up getting separated from them somehow when we were leaving. It was terrifying.

Indeed they are, and that is just how I feel about them... However, in my "white-bread" circle... some people refer to them as "those rapper girls"... As if there is only and will only ever be ONE group of "girl" rappers. ROFL ;)

When I am working out or need to be pumped up I like to listen to Spice Girls... I have ALL of their CDs too...

I also do a magical karaoke rendition of WannaBe.

Ok, so I LOVE the spice girls... shameful indeed

Is WannaBe their first song? (I've not listened to them at all since their first CD came out)

One of my guilty pleasures is the Hole album "Celebrity Skin." It's a thousand times more pop-ish than any of Courtney Love's other albums, but I dig it anyway.

I really enjoy listening to N'Sync LOL even though they are 1) a boy band and 2) so 10 years ago

I also like some Paula Abdul and New Kids here and there - now that's embarrassing!

Did anyone hear Paula's new single? Sounds like a remastered Britney song.

Neil Diamond. I'm actually going to Chicago this weekend to see the best Neil Diamond cover band - Super Diamond - at the House of Blues. They always pack the place. Great show.

And I'm lame....

The Meredith Brooks classic "Beyotch" - yeah, I know. But I really liked that song.

That song by Billy Ray Cyrus and Miley Cyrus(Hannah Montana) is really a great song and I'm not really ashamed that I like it...I am kind of ashamed that I'm 45 years old with no daughters and I kind of wanted to go see Miley/Hannah in concert...just to see what all the hype was..lol

I like some of Justin Timberlake's stuff. Lately, I've REALLY liked Jordin Sparks' "Tattoo" song. Another song I'm liking right now is Sarah Bareilles' Love Song." You don't normally associate that kind of stuff with a straight male who cranks up rock music and STILL plays air guitar.

i'm not ashamed to admit that i like some stuff that's definitely not in line with the rest of my musical tastes. like..hmm...i like listening to kelly clarkson and michelle branch songs.
