Justin Isosceles -- balanced, smooth meritage with enough character to stand out from the crowd, slightly unexpected

Caymus cab -- medium bodied, well-balanced, nice fruit without being fruity, strong enough to stand on it's own

Ferrari-Carano Fume Blanc -- easy to drink white wine blend with good tropical fruit notes, crisp, fresh and clean

Thanks for the comments and the feedback! We are definately entertaining featuring some of the local Indiana wineries as well. There are definately some good wines produced in the great state we call home.

Any 2003 Sonoma County Red Zin. I'm a huge fan of Red Zins. I've sort of moved to them over traditional cabs and merlots. Big fan of Shiraz and Syrah as well.

Thanks for your comments. We too are HUGE fans of the red zins as well. Expect to see many varieties at Uncorked...A Wine Experience. Hope to see you there.

I'm a big fan of Chianti. it's filled with a spicy aroma of wild berries and also offers the flavor of black cherry and raspberry. dry. Always open to new wines though!

Kimiko! You little Wine Skank! Did you get into my stash of Caymus! I knocked back a bottle on Christmas and let it linger in my mouth until I was spoiled with a 94 Quintessa at Charlie Trotters last week and nothing will be the same for quiet some time.

Bonny Doon...Turned me onto Marcel Proust...Has great bottles and an amazingly cryptic, abstract website. Insert tasting notes here.

Oh and back to the original question. I have the attention span of a gold fish.

Favorite Wine: For the season...

Carneros or Russian River Pinots.

Kokomo. Its made by a Hoosier first off. Its big like Alaska, smooth liked waxed legs and with a hint of smoke. Well balanced with awesome fruit.

ZD Pinot. Big Carneros Fruit, Super smooth, Delicate and Sexy. The 04 Reserve is mega good juice!

I like a lot of things from Carneros/Russian River regions. Pinots are big ones. But they've got some great chardonnays too.

Ravenswood Old Wine Zin is always good too.

Frogs Leap and Cakebread are consistent crowd pleasers. Jordan and J make some very tasty wines as well.

And no, RJ, I did not break into your Caymus cab. But speaking of Caymus, their Conundrum (a white blend) is phenomenal on a hot summer day.

Cakebread......Man I remember burning through a case of their 3 Sisters in 72 hours on a "I just got dumped by Jen" binge. That stuff was killer!

I'm not a major Merlot advocate but Frogs Leap has always provided a great product as has Jordan.
