I was at Brugge Brasserie in Broad Ripple last night and was talking to the waiter, and he told me that they took over the rest of the building that use to house the Net Cafe.
They are expanding the restaurant, and putting in a sports bar in the upstairs portion. He wasn't sure on when they would get everything done by. But it is in the works!
So if you are a fan of the place, as I am, be on the look out for the new remodel! I think he said they hope to have it done by the end of summer.
Also I am sure most of you who know the place know, but for those of you who don't, do you know the place is owned by a certain "ER" star who now is working on "Men In Tress" Thought I would share!
Jas.
Sweet! Brugge is awesome. It's nice for a sit-down dinner or just hanging out. And I could see how a sports bar would work for a lot of its clientele too!
lets just hope their closing crew stop being such jerks. awesome beer.
Awesome news. I interviewed Abe Benrubi (the co-owner of Brugge) back when the restaurant opened. He invited me to the place for the opening, set me up with some frites and beer, and chatted with me while he worked the place.
I'm not talking a token table visit or two. He was sweating, running from table to table, waiting on customers and doing a little bit of everything. He seems like a genuinely nice guy and it's good to see him with a network job.
He also signed my "Open Range" DVD (the supremely underrated western he was in with Kevin Costner and Robert Duvall), and told me some cool stories about fight scenes with William Shatner in "Miss Congeniality 2."
VERY excited about that Brugge News! more space for frite lovers like moi! :)
