I've been trying to get a link to my blog on there, and yesterday it finally happened. One of their bloggers saw some of my work on at neatorama, and posted about my blog.

As an article in the Indianapolis Star mentioned last week, that's a sure way to ramp up your visitors numbers, and it helped me in a big way. Lately, my blogspot Bent Objects has been getting around eight hundred and a thousand hits a day. Yesterday, with the help of those two links, I got 7,880! Incredible! The traffic that boingboing gets must be really unbelievable.

I've chosen not to pollute my blog up to this point with ads. One of the first things my wife says to me this morning, "I wonder how much we could have made with an ad on there somewhere!" hehe... She's such a sweet little capitalist. The truth is, when an advertiser finds me that I can actually stand behind, I'll probably put it on there.

So, anyway, I guess this blog entry was half bragging that I got linked to the big daddy yesterday, and half showing that it can be done fellow Hoosiers! Try to come up with a unique take on something, keep at it, and things begin to happen! (and a little luck doesn't hurt either)
