I own a restaurant in Broad Ripple. I check on line with certain sites to see what the public is saying about my store, every few days. I just want to see what they are saying online as opposed to telling us when they are here. Good and bad. But this Baxters and Bugsy's battle is what happens when you give people an open forum. No one that pens thoughts online is accountable for what they write. In other words, anyone that has an ax to grind, can go online and tear down someones good name. It may be a business that has worked thier tail off and sacrificed one hell of alot just to keep up and running. In business, people are hesitant to tell you when you've done good. But they sure as hell will tell you when things ain't right. Even if it is not to your face, but vent their frustration online for the world to see. then the business feels like is has to fire back with self promotion, which is what half of these reviews are. I would urge Indy.com to keep the the reviews to a select editorial staff, otherwise this forum is about self promotion and someone with axes to grind. It does the readers of this forum a disservice any other way.
