On vacation last week I was introduced by some friends to the most hilarious show ever: Arrested Development. I vaguely remember flipping through the channels and seeing the show one night, but changing the station right away, as I thought they were showing the Blue Man Group live. I've spent some time since I've seen the series trying to figure out who my favorite character is. Everything about Gob is good: his voice, his "illusions", all of it. But then there's Buster, who is perfect in a child like way. But how could I bypass Tobias? Everything Tobias does is funny. Is anyone with me here? Do you love all of the characters? Have a favorite?
Quite possibly one of the best television shows of all time. Every time I re-watch the series I find new jokes.
One of my favorite moments is when GOB reads Lucille 2 the appetizers. "with... spicy... club.. sauce"
or this gem....
GOB: That's not my trick, Michael... Narrator: On the next Arrested Development... GOB: (Cont.) ...That's my ILLUSION! Tobias: AHHH! MY HAIR! MY BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL HAIR! WHY AM I NOT GOING UNDERWATER?!? DEAR GOD! WHY AM I NOT GOING UNDERWATER?!?!?!?
Hahaha!! I freaking love that show! I never watched it when it was on either, but my old roommate had all the dvds and I watched them in a week.
I think my favorite character is Gob, he's such an a-hole in a hilarious way. I also really like Tobias, def good for a couple of laughs.
I've only seen this show a couple of times, but enjoyed it. It seems like I would enjoy it more if I followed it. I've never have been able to remember when it's on or I've been distracted by other things. The storyline seem pretty continuous from show to show rather than a new package each time.
I'll have to buy or borrow the DVD's sometime.
My favorite character would probably be Tobias. I mean, it's David Cross. He's hilarious. Mr. Show and his stand up especially.
People with bikes in their avatars seem to love this show.
Jason Bateman confirmed talks of a AD movie recently. Should be interesting!
Oh man! This would be the greatest movie ever, right next to Tommy Boy!
