Fun birthday dinner spot??

I'd like to have dinner somewhere new this weekend for my mom's birthday, but I am drawing a blank. Any ideas on some place that has a good atmosphere? Preferably on the north side but it doesn't have to be. (excluding the typical Melting Pot, Flemming's, etc.)

Adobo Grill, near 82nd and Allisonville, is great upscale Mexican. They have salsa dancing that starts around 10 pm. Go for dinner and stay to watch the dancing. Or even join in!
