NEW YORK (AP) -- Amy Winehouse, who has been in and out of the headlines in recent months, will perform at the 2007 mtvU Woodie Awards in New York next month.

The British diva pulled out of MTV's Video Music Awards, which were held in Las Vegas on Sept. 9. Her U.S. record label, Universal Republic Records, said all U.S. appearances had been canceled "in a continued effort to support Amy Winehouse's well-being."

In August, Winehouse canceled a series of British concerts and put her North American tour on hold. The 24-year-old retro-soul singer had been dogged by concerns over her health and reports of drug use.

The fourth annual mtvU Woodie Awards will be presented Nov. 8 at the Roseland Ballroom. They will air Nov. 15 on mtvU, MTV's 24-hour college network, and its Web site.

Nominees include The Shins, Lily Allen, The Academy Is..., Justice, Gym Class Heroes, Modest Mouse, Lil Wayne, Linkin Park and TV on the Radio. Winehouse is among the nominees for Woodie of the Year.

Votes are cast on the network's Web site and by texting.

Spank Rock and The Academy Is... are also scheduled to perform, mtvU announced Thursday.
